Privacy Protections.

All learners with the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy Continuing Education Office training portal are protected under the University of Maryland, Baltimore, Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (20 U.S.C. § 1232g; 34 CFR Part 99) (FERPA) Policy. Acceptable Use Policy.

  The School of Pharmacy uses third-party remarketing tracking tools, including, but not limited to the Google Adwords tracking cookie and Facebook pixel, to show advertisements related to the School on third-party websites to individuals who have previously visited the School's website. These cookies do not identify you personally, and any data that we use as part of Google's remarketing service is governed by Google's privacy policy. You may opt out of our remarketing by changing your Google ad settings.

Collection of your Personal Information


When you enroll in a continuing education activity, we may collect the following personal information: name, professional credentials, email, title, organization, state of license, zip code for practice site(s), professional role, and shipping address. Credit card and billing information is not collected nor stored; . It is processed for payment purposes the payment is processed through a secure transaction via a third-party payment system, Authorize.net.

Additionally, we utilize information required for us to process continuing education credits on your behalf for professional certifying entities.

  • Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians (ACPE Credits): Information including NABP and partial date of birth (DDMM) are collected and uploaded to NABP/CPE Monitor.
  • Physicians (ACCME Credits): Information, including name, post-test scores, email address, mailing address, and payment amount are collected and sent to MedChi, The Maryland State Medical Society.

Registration Policy: The online classroom is reserved for registered learners only.  Registration and access to the online course may not be transferred or shared and may only be accessed by the registered learner (via the name and email provided at the time of registration).  If login information, course materials, or access to the online classroom is shared with non-registered learners, the registration may be subject to cancellation without a refund to the learner.
